Morning After, Liam Bennett, 2020
For my photo, I was inspired by Maria Svarbova. I enjoyed the way she used her models to look like cardboard cutouts of people and how some people can almost look plastic online. They can use social media to create a fantasy world. They create this fantasy world by always looking great and showing themselves doing very extravagant things that they wouldn't normally do. On social media I constantly see people trying to idealize an unrealistic lifestyle that someone is living. In this photo I wanted to show off how easy it really is to fake a lifestyle. This photo works in opposition to my real life as I do not dress formally very often and take more interest in streetwear. I also do not live a lifestyle where I am waking up fully clothed because of a crazy night.
